In 2025, CCC celebrated its 40th anniversary. It all began in 1983, when our founder, Muneaki Masuda, opened the first TSUTAYA in Hirakata, Osaka, as a hub to provide information on new lifestyle trends. In 1985, he established Culture Convenience Club Co., Ltd., based on a franchise business model. Since then, we have grown as a planning company that proposes new lifestyles, always in tune with the changing times.
Over the past 40 years, through various challenges and encounters, we have cultivated valuable intellectual assets—our people, our customers, trust, and our database. Leveraging these assets and staying attuned to the trends of the times, we aim to continue creating new forms of social value. This, I believe, is the mission entrusted to me by Masuda when I succeeded him in April 2023.
The words I value most are "promise" and "gratitude." With these principles in mind, we will continue to respect the ideals of free thinking and adaptability in a diverse society, and embrace new challenges.
