Taking advantage of the strengths of "NADiff" and "Bijutsu Shuppansha", we provide support for large-scale exhibitions, operate museum shops, produce catalogs, and develop products.
Drawing on experience from the art shop NADiff, we operate permanent and pop-up museum shops, create original goods for major exhibitions, support exhibition planning, and publish a wide range of art catalogs. (Updated March 21, 2025)
"CCC Art Lab" brings together a team of art-related specialists. We can make proposals from a variety of perspectives depending on the theme.
We have been involved in the planning, production and development of a wide range of products, including exhibition goods, catalogs and collections of works sold in museums and art shops, as well as original museum goods. NADiff, which currently operates three permanent museum shops in Tokyo and Kyoto, was founded in 1975 and took over the operations of Art Vivant, a pioneering art shop in Japan. It is a historic brand that was launched in 1996 with the concept of "promoting and spreading new art."Taking over NADiff's concept of "spreading and promoting new art that enriches and enhances creativity in daily life, and broadening the base of the value of art," the group has been creating synergy as one team within the "CCC Art Lab" since April 2017. Furthermore, since the Kyoto City Kyocera Museum of Art reopened in March 2020, we have formed a collaborative team with external parties, and in addition to operating the museum shop "ART RECTANGLE KYOTO" and special shops, we are also responsible for supporting the planning and operation of the museum.
He produces catalogs, collections of works, art-related books, and Japan's leading art media, Bijutsu Techo.
In terms of producing exhibition catalogs, books and magazines, we publish and produce approximately 50 titles per year through two publishers, Bijutsu Shuppansha and Mitsumura Suiko Shoin. The project was created by experienced editors and designers at CCC Art Lab, which has some of the best know-how and networks with art museums in Japan. In addition, the online media, the web version of "Bijutsu Techo," is one of the largest art web media in Japan, with over 3 million page views per month.
Since its launch in 1948, Bijutsu Shuppansha has been introducing the cutting edge of contemporary art both in Japan and abroad, garnering widespread support from experts to general art fans. In today's world where there are so many different media, we continue to ask ourselves what role art media should play. As one of Japan's leading art media outlets, we connect art and society, and publish special features that look at various fields such as architecture, photography, and animation from an artistic perspective.
書籍では『ライブラリー 西洋美術史』『ライブラリー 日本美術史』など、美術史の定本となる書籍の刊行を続けるほか、作品集の分野でも高評を得ています。In terms of producing catalogs, we have worked on catalogs for popular exhibitions such as the "Pompeii Exhibition" (Tokyo National Museum, 2022) and the "Louise Bourgeois Exhibition" (Mori Art Museum, 2024).
On the other hand, Mitsumura Suiko Shoin is a long-established publishing company in Kyoto that was founded over 130 years ago. We publish many publications rooted in Kyoto, including the Kyoto Techo, a planner that doubles as a guidebook and features annual events related to Kyoto's shrines and temples, products that the editors themselves think are great, and delicious foods that they have eaten.
